A Call to Action

Inequality Grows As Poor, Ignorant Atheists Swamp US | Via Meadia.

While I might take issue with the author’s characterization of the poor and ignorant as atheists, I do think he makes an excellent point regarding the Church and what we are doing or not doing to reach “the least of these”. True “social justice” must be practiced by the churches and individuals, it is the only way it can work. The State must be excluded as it corrupts everything it touches (its motivations are not and can never be informed by faith). The best thing the State can do is remove the barriers to individual and private sector, faith-based action and then get out of the way.

The State driven approach has failed miserably (London riots and flash mobs in the US). This is what we are called to do folks. Time to step up and act.
