To Frack or Not to Frack, That is the Question

The Shale Gas Revolution – NYTimes.com.

I’m not a huge fan of David Brooks or the New York Times but I have to give credit where it is due. Mr. Brooks writes an excellent on the whole shale gas issue and the political hyperventilation that has exploded around the issue in the northeast. I find it very interesting that those who seem to scream the loudest about “wars for oil” are also the ones who are standing in the way of developing domestic sources of energy. I guess they won’t be happy until we’re all living in mud huts again and dying of disease and malnutrition in our late 30’s and early 40’s.

Those who scream loudest would love to have domestic sources of energy — as long as they don’t destroy the planet and cause major health problems.
