Irresponsible And Unpatriotic

Pot, meet kettle!

So if it took Bush 8 years to rack up the same amount of debt that you have amassed in only 3 years, does that make you at least twice as irresponsible and unpatriotic as you accused him of being? I’m just asking Mr. President.

P.S. I almost forgot, congrats sir on completing your 90th round of golf since taking office. You have one year left in your first term so this number should grow substantially. You can add this to your growing list of “pot meet kettle” moments.

Go Ask Someone Else! I Gave at the Office

Obama Needs More Cash – Asks Congress to Raise Debt By Another $1.2 Trillion | The Gateway Pundit.

To date this President has added almost 5 trillion dollars to the national debt. That is equal to 50% of the debt accumulated by ALL PREVIOUS PRESIDENTS COMBINED! He accomplished this astounding feat in just three short years. Now he wants us to raise the debt ceiling another 1.2 trillion. HECK NO! He came to office promising to cut annual deficit in half by the end of his first term. The deficit has not been cut in half, it has been more than doubled each of his 3 years in office.

NO MORE DEFICIT SPENDING PERIOD! If we don’t have the revenue, we need to start cutting programs, no matter how painful that may be.

And he has the audacity or complete lack of self awareness to ask for a second term. Sadly, I think there are far too many people who are more than happy to overlook this complete lack of stewardship as well as a host of other scandals and are willing to give him 4 more years. How very sad.

Soviet Automotive Redo

Chevy Volt Costing Taxpayers Up to $250K Per Vehicle [Michigan Capitol Confidential].

Have we learned nothing from the example of the Soviet Trabant? It grinds my gears that my tax dollars went to pay for this boondoggle.

Then there’s this with regards to the Volt’s actual sales numbers.

Newt Derangement Syndrome

Ann Coulter Favorite Ron Paul Supports Hamas & Says Wikileaks Leaker Bradley Manning Is a ‘Hero’ (Video) | The Gateway Pundit#comments#comments#comments.

Ann Coulter has joined Glenn Beck in abandoning all reason in what appears to be an irrational hatred for Newt Gingrich. How otherwise intelligent people could come to this conclusion is beyond me. Ron Paul is clearly the “crazy uncle” at the family gathering. How these two could pick Paul over Gingrich after a review of Paul’s present and past foreign policy statements beggars any logical explanation.

Obama Administration Pushes UN Resolution That Bans Criticism of Islamic Radicalism | The Gateway Pundit.

It will still be okay to bash Christians, the only group it is now acceptable to discriminate against or say nasty things about.

Wishing And Hoping

Bye-bye Keynes? – The Washington Post.

Yet another story proclaiming the death of Keynes

I truly wish that I could believe them. Sadly, our President and his Party seem to think that Keynes is alive and well. I’ll believe Keynes is dead when both Parties agree that no matter how painful, we must reduce spending via real cuts (not reductions in the rate of growth) to a level below current revenue and that the cuts will continue until the budget is balanced and the national debt is gone!

I hope this day will come without a major crisis like what Greece and the rest of Europe is facing. Unfortunately, I don’t think that will be possible. Brace for impact!

Jeb Bush Gets It Right

Jeb Bush: Capitalism and the Right to Rise – WSJ.com.

Rush is highlighting this column from Jeb Bush in today’s WSJ.

I read this one earlier today and concur with Rush. Gov. Bush is dead-bang on with this one. This is the kind of thing the Republican candidates should be talking about instead of taking shots at each other over petty little things. Way to go Gov. Bush. Are you reconsidering a Presidential run?
