At least when it comes to Presidential campaigns.
That’s the point Peter Wehner makes in the article linked above from Commentary Magazine. Sadly, I think Mr. Wehner is correct. We are about to witness the first truly post-modern campaign in which narrative is king and facts are inconvenient items to be discard as the narrative changes. It’s a shame that the Press will refuse to call the President on this shameful approach and are in fact partners in his deception. Equally sad is that far too many voters won’t take the time to objectively question the news they consume and will swallow the bilge, hook, line and sinker.
