The “Compromise” That Wasn’t

Bishops Renew Their Call For Legislative Action on Religious Liberty | The Gateway Pundit.

Thank God the bishops saw through the ruse that was the President’s ridicules statement from yesterday.

Aside from the religious freedom aspect of this issue, the President of the United States has no Constitutional right to dictate what services a private company will provide (contraception & abortion) and how much they will charge (free). And for the record, nothing is free, someone is going to pay and it will most likely be the very people who don’t want this coverage in the first place. They will pay by way of higher premiums or a reduction in coverage as the insurance companies go what they have to do to stay afloat.

I am astounded and saddened that more people do not see this aspect and seem willing to let this slide if the Government grants this phony “conscience” waiver. I am firmly convinced that our President is intent on destroying private health care insurance in this country so he can replace it with socialized medicine and if he can beat up people of faith along the way, so much the better.

This health care fiasco has been disgusting to say the least. I hope the 54% of Catholic voters who voted fro Obama in 2008 remember what he has done.
