Not the Transformation He Was Looking For . . .

BRAVO Dr. Hanson and well said sir!

My favorite contemporary historian just opened the book on what the world will say about the Obama Administration after it is gone. It’s a long read and so densely packed I could not decide what I should select as a pull quote. Do yourself a favor and read the entire thing.

Hanson isn’t a “contemporary historian”, unless you just mean he writes nowadays. His area of expertise is military history, not politics. He still thinks we ought to be at war with Iran.

That said, it’s not exactly enlightening or useful to read all about how Obama has disappointed even former supporters. That is the ordinary pattern of public opinion for second-term presidents in their last two years. You simply can’t get an academic view with authority while the person is still in office. Think how differently we now view the administrations of presidents from the 1960s.
